Twin Saga is Shutting Down on April 29th, 2021.
I’ve never really been too big a fan of Twin Saga. It was an Anime MMORPG that just never really.. clicked with me. Maybe it was because by 2016, I’d just gotten over copy-paste Anime MMOs that bring nothing to the genre. Maybe it was because I was just playing better games. Regardless, it’s never a good day to see an MMO shut down permanently.
Much like Eden Eternal, it was announced – on the very same day, mind you, (thanks for that, Gamigo,) that the Anime MMORPG Twin Saga would be shutting down. Yes, many of you likely never had the opportunity to play through Twin Saga. I played for a few hours but never took the time to delve any further into the game.
So while I’m not necessarily attached to this game in any capacity, it’s still a sad day to see the game shutting down. And the fact that it was announced in unison with Eden Eternal was that much more damaging.
According to Gamigo, the game will be ceasing operations at approximately the same time as Eden Eternal, with Gamigo going on to cite the very same reason for its closure: “due to the game no longer bringing in any profit.” This week is a sad week for Anime MMOs.
