SINoALICE is Coming to the West in July 2020!
I know a lotta you guys have been highly anticipating SINoALICE. Just a quick FYI: You’re going to have to excuse my pronunciation of its name – I believe the “o” is silent and it’s called “SIN ALICE,” but please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong!
Now, I’ve received countless messages over the last several months stating that SINoALICE would never reach our shores – that Nexon had all but given up on the game.
That may have been true at one point. Nexon has gone through quite a significant number of changes, including game cancellations over the last several months.
Earlier this week, Nexon actually announced that instead of self-publishing the game like they already do for a lot of titles, they would be giving global distribution over to the developer behind the game, Pokelabo, directly.
SINoALICE is directed by none other than the legendary Yoko Taro, who was responsible for the NieR games, with Keiichi Okabe composing the soundtrack. If you weren’t aware, Keiichi also worked on NieR.
While the game has been out for a couple years now, its global release has been repeatedly delayed.
Pre-registration is currently available for the global release – the link to the registration page can be found by clicking the button below:
Whether you choose to pre-register for the game or not, it will be releasing on July 1st 2020. That’s only a few months away! Yes, the opportunity to play one of the most anticipated Mobile games of the last few years is right around the corner.
SINoALICE can expect tie-ins and crossovers with the NieR series of games, with the first event beginning shortly after its global release.
For the few of you that are unfamiliar with SINoALICE, the game is an RPG for mobile devices that is set in a weird, twisted, distorted reality featuring warped versions of fairytale characters like Pinocchio, Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood.
These characters – and there are quite a few of them I might add, must work together to essentially save the world.
Honestly, when a game comes from the mind of Yoko Taro you can bet it’s going to be something dark and twisted.
I’ve never played SINoALICE but I’m more excited than almost any other mobile game right now. I love Square Enix games, and I’m glad they had a part in the creation of this.
I’m excited that it’s coming out in just a couple months. If we’re still stuck at home by then – which please, don’t let that be the case – but if we are.. it’d be the perfect time to play the game.
I’m also glad that Nexon won’t be publishing this globally. I’m not sure exactly how good Pokelabo is – this is the first I’ve ever even heard of them, but how can anyone be worse than Nexon?
