Shaiya Information
Shaiya is a free-to-play MMORPG.
It utilizes very traditional tab-target combat. Yes, the MMO is very old, so naturally it can’t be expected to keep up with the standard set by other much more recent titles but that doesn’t mean its combat is in any way bad.
Title: Shaiya
Status: Released
Graphics: 3D
Genre: MMORPG
Developer: ChoiRock Games
Publisher: Aeria Games
Playerbase: Low
Rating:
The game utilizes segregated zones, allowing players large areas to explore, questing in, and enjoying what the game has to offer.
There are dungeons, raids, and various PvP modes to engage in.
Shaiya is a pretty basic, pretty traditional MMO in this day and age. It has an interesting permadeath server, and is pretty PvP-oriented so if either of those are of interest to you, this might be right up your alley.

Actually your portrayal of Shaiya is inaccurate. Your title leads to believe that nothing can be done to keep a character. There are two modes to Shaiya. HM or Hard Mode and UM Ultimate Mode. When you play HM there is no Perma-Death. Ultimate Mode is for those who want a slightly stronger character and KNOW the risk of deletion on death. To prevent this death there are Ressurection Runes (die and it is used) as well as Continuous Rez Runes (2 hr, 3 hr, 7 day and 30 day duration)
If you are going to critique a game it helps to actually play it fully first. Learn what it contains, how characters can be played, use the skills properly. Also helps if you asked experienced players for assistance when needed. The game has [GS]’s (Game Sages who are volunteers) who are more than happy to assist all new players with information required.
