by WigglsbyGreetings and salutations my lovely little Bytelings my name is Wiggy, and today, I’ve got some news regarding the upcoming Action MMORPG, Mu Legends!
Firstly Mu Legends is the official follow up MMORPG to its predecessor Mu Online, now Mu legends hadn’t always
been called Mu Legends, in fact, it was originally called Mu2 in 2004, which phew, was a LONG time ago. However
It was renamed in 2008 when they actually started working on it.
Now I’m sure you’ve had enough of this history, now onto what MU Legends actually is, for those of you unaware. Of course if you already
know what it’s about, feel free to skip ahead for the “good news” section.
Alright so, Mu Legends is a isometric action, MMORPG, or as every MMO related new media refers to it as Hack and slash!
And if you don’t know what isometric means, it’s basically a camera angle from “above” your character.
Now, In Mu you’ll have (at least currently) 4 classes to choose between, and to answer the questions that will no doubt be asked,
yes they are genderlocked. As it is a Korean MMORPG, developed by Webzen. Which if you’re unaware published, Rappelz, FlyFF, and Age of Wulin.
No back to said classes, they are the following: Dark Lord, which is your sword and shield wielding baddass, that
uses heavy armor, and tanks like a beast while beating your face in. What’s not to like?
Then we’ve got the Whisperer: Despite her name, she doesn’t do a lot of whispering. In fact she’s actually an archer!
She uses a bow, and uses powerful long-ranged skills, and traps. Oh and she can roll out of AoEs, That’s pretty exceptional.
Next class is War Mage: Now, whilst this is the magic class, don’t expect to be far from the fight, because this mage uses
explosive close range magic skills, that absolutely devastate your foes. Be careful though as some of your
skills leave you open to attack.
Finally we’ve got Blader: Which is pretty much a berserker type class, high damage, likes long walks on the beach, screams a lot. You know
the normal! Unlike the Dark Lord who uses a sword and shield, Bladers use a greatsword in one hand. definitely a baddass class.
Now onto the world, and some extra features. So Mu Legend has dungeons, as most MMORPGs do. However, as you
continue to level up, the dungeons difficulty actually scales with your level, so to keep things interesting and fun!
Mu Legends also boast having an well thought out in-depth skill system.
Now that I’ve been sufficiently informed as to what Mu Legends is, Onto the good news!
Mu Legends global open beta will be launching in September this year (2017). They will be localizing it into
the following languages: English, German, French, Polish, Spanish and Brazilian-Portuguese. However if you’re not
form these localized countries, you’ll still be able to play Mu Legends, although you won’t be able to understand it.
The developers AKA Webzen did state that, they intend on having some “extra” features finished by September, what these
features might be is anyone guess.
