Honor of Kings: World is a New Upcoming AAA Action RPG
Genshin Impact has been a massive success since it launched, pulling in hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. It was actually so successful, that it went on to inspire its own gaming subgenre known as “the Genshin clones.”
This isn’t one of those games. Thankfully.
This.. this is a brand new open-world game based on the largest gaming franchise in the entire world. And it’s coming out globally.
Yeah, I’m not kidding. This intellectual property has 100 million players logging in DAILY. Not weekly. Not monthly. Not yearly. DAILY! There are over a hundred million players logging in to play a SINGLE GAME. Crazy, right?
Not much is really known about the game presently. It’s supposed to be a “AAA budget action RPG set in an open world,” which is something right up my alley. And is also why so many people are comparing this to Genshin Impact and Monster Hunter.
I mean honestly, it definitely gave off Monster Hunter vibes. The game is also releasing on “multiple platforms,” at the same time. So theoretically, this should see a worldwide simultaneous release. Something that is rarely done in Eastern games like this.
Regardless, this looks legitimately sick. I’m hoping that the gameplay looks and feels similarly to how it does in that gameplay trailer, as there are people in the comments for the video claiming the UI is pasted atop a pre-rendered cinematic.
