Genshin Impact Open Beta Announcement!

So according to a forum post made on the official Genshin Impact forums, it has been confirmed that Genshin Impact is going to be receiving an Open Beta.

As a thank you to the 3,000,000 players that are interested in the game (perhaps within China exclusively,) miHoYo want to hold an upcoming Open Beta test allowing players to jump on in, regardless of account status, and play the game for an undisclosed amount of time. It is unconfirmed whether or not this Open Beta is going to affect additional regions or will remain exclusively within China itself as that is where the miHoYo company actually operates. Additionally, they mentioned that they had new information to showcase at the upcoming ChinaJoy convention, including perhaps information regarding the upcoming Open Beta. Worth noting is that they stated the game will be available in Open Beta during Autumn within China, which is October-November. So while we don’t have an exact date, we do have a timeframe.
Additionally, this doesn’t mean that Genshin Impact is launching this year. This confirmation of an Open Beta may mean that everyone can play globally come October-November, but at the same time it might be hinting at a further release date (2021) than we had originally anticipated. There was also a brand new character confirmed to be coming out as well, although I doubt that’s what you’re all interested in!
