Fantasy Tales Online Review - Is It Worth Playing?
Fantasy Tales Online Information
Fantasy Tales Online is a free to play retro-style MMORPG published by Cold Tea Studio back in 2015. It is their take on a very classic, very missed RPG-style game that this generation doesn’t really have access to and thoroughly impressed me with how good it looks.
Fantasy Tales Online has three unique classes: The melee Brute, the healing Medic, and the stealthy Assassin. Although there are different classes in Fantasy Tales, the fact is that you can wear any armor type and any weapon type, myself being an Assassin that utilized a Great Sword, and Wiggy being a Medic that.. well, also.. utilized a Great Sword. So at the end of the day, outside of the skills themselves, there doesn’t seem to be all that much of a difference between what gear you choose to use (at least during the lower levels)
One unique feature that Fantasy Tales has, that I also love in other MMORPGs, is player housing. Players are capable of taking control of entire towns that they’re capable of decorating in any manner they wish, furthermore being able to construct a guild house for your entire guild to partake of.
There is, unfortunately no PvP in-game yet, however PvE does take the form of randomly generated dungeons, questing and grinding.
