Eternal Sword M is a New Mobile MMORPG
I don’t know how much attention you guys pay to upcoming and newly released games, but last month a brand new MMORPG, “Eternal Sword M” released globally.
I’ve known about the game for a little while now but had neglected to do a video on it because… well, I’d honestly forgotten about it. Which isn’t to say that it isn’t a memorable game, it just didn’t leave a lasting impression on me at the time.
Eternal Sword M takes place in the past. Well, it takes place 7-days before the world ends. You’re sent back in time to save the world from destruction. I know that sounds a little cliche but hey – it’s a solid idea.
The game is a complete action MMORPG and although it lists on the Play Store that it has “stunning graphics,” the game really looks kinda mediocre.
The graphics and the combat – neither of which are really all that great to look at are why it never left much of an impression on me.
Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t a bad looking game and the combat doesn’t look bad at all – it’s just.. very average, and if you have the option to play something average or something damn good, I feel like you’d opt for the latter.
And I wouldn’t blame you! I would, too!
Since the game takes place in the past, it’s only natural that choices you make over the course of the game have a direct impact on the future.
How much of an impact remains to be seen though as I haven’t played through it far enough to see. How many of you remember an RPG called Dark Cloud or Dark Cloud 2?
Where you would go back in time and forward into the future, and depending on characters you recruited and choices you’d made, the future would be altered?
That sounds like the kind of plan they have going for Eternal Sword. But honestly, this is a free mobile game and I highly doubt they’re really that invested in making a game as extensive as Dark Cloud was.
There is plenty of multiplayer functionality available in-game. Not only is the game open, allowing for you to freely explore it with other players, but there are dungeons that require coordination from your group to overcome.
Or at least that’s what they say. I’ve played enough mobile games to know I can probably face-roll the majority of PvE content in-game.
I believe there’s still an event going on right now that lasts until Sunday, so if you log in you’ll have the opportunity to win some snazzy goodies.
Seriously though, this isn’t a bad looking game. It’s just not a great looking game.
