So, Dauntless, for those of you unaware, is a game similar to that of the Monster Hunter game series, or even God Eater series.
Dauntless, just like in the Monster Hunter games, gets you travel the regions in searching for prey worthy of your skill, and effort hunting. However once you find said creature
don’t just expect said beastie to just stand there idly an be killed. As it’ll fight back with monstrous ferocity wielding devastating skills, unique to each category of monster type.
Each battle will be a challenge in it’s self, untll you learn how it fights, and what skills it uses.. Or if you get sick of constantly dying and losing durability do to said deaths,
you could always gather some friends and gank it, because, you know.. that’s what REAL heroes do when they can’t beat there foe.
However, I will point out before we continue that Dauntless
is NOT an MMORPG in any sense. It’s actually a 4 player co-op, free to play (f2p), Action RPG (ARPG). If you do not believe me, feel free to google it.
Also just to clarify, If you didn’t notice as I mentioned earlier, it does have fluid action combat, so for those of you who dislike, tab-target, you’ll be happy to know this isn’t the case for Dauntless.
There will be a heavy emphasis on crafting in Dauntless, as you’ll fight monsters and harvest items in order to craft epic weapons and armor, allowing you to slay even the best creatures Dauntless
has to offer.
The formula for Dauntless is very similar to that of the Monster Hunter series, which in my opinion is just awesome, as I actually enjoy those types of games. Am I excited for it? But of course!
So to answer the question you guys have been asking us, which is whether or not we’ll play it. The answer is yes, so long as you guys actually wan’t us too, as it isn’t an MMORPG.
