by ByteStixCloud Nine is another MMORPG from RedFox Games. We seem to be doing a lot of MMORPGs from them recently but that’s simply because they have a lot of MMORPGs that nobody plays.. strangely!
Now, what does Cloud Nine offer?
It’s an Anime inspired MMORPG. It’s actually surprisingly cute. It looks pretty good for an Anime inspired MMORPG made when it was, and it doesn’t play half bad either. With Anime MMORPGs you often expect them to play poorly as they traditionally are fairly bad playing MMORPGs. However Cloud Nine played a little differently. Which was a nice change.
Now, the problem came from the fact that in over an hour.. we were literally doing the same thing: Kill 7 of that monster, loot 5 of that item. Which is fine, but.. we’d take 2 quests, kill 7 monsters, loot 5 items, then run back and complete the quest. There wasn’t much from the NPCs – there weren’t really any diverse quests – everything was cookie cutter copy-paste repeatedly. Which was a huge turn off for both of us.
Overall, not a bad MMORPG for an Anime inspired MMORPG, but not something we’d devote time to.
