When ASTA Online was originally released, unfortunately, it was region locked preventing Wiggy and I from getting into the game. That was so disappointing for us since we were really looking forward to playing the game.
This time.. this time was different. This time we got in. This time.. we played what is probably one of the most fun free to play MMORPGs in recent memory. Wow. If this doesn’t go pay to win at endgame then I feel as though this could potentially be one of the most fun free to play MMORPGs on the market.
Graphically, ASTA Online is beautiful. It’s a very cartoony-styled MMORPG in the vein of Wildstar, but also very traditional Chinese as well, reminding me of Revelation Online. So.. something along the lines of a love child between Revelation Online and Wildstar. Which is so much fun to look at – especially considering how vibrant the game looks.
Add to this the combat – which is fantastic. Fun. Fast. Fluid. No real ping issues. Skills look really high quality. Combos, tons of skills.
The zones, the towns.. everything about the game just oozes awesome. I cannot stress how good the game looks!
The game just, honestly, seems a lot higher quality than most free to play MMORPGs out there. I’m just.. at a loss as to how good this turned out to be. I cannot wait to play more!
