The 10 Most Popular Gacha Games of July 2022
It’s that time of the month again! Sensortower statistics are in for the Gacha scene over the last month, and we get to see how our favorite, or least favorite games are doing in terms of players and earnings. So grab the popcorn.
Genshin Impact has taken back its spot of the #1 most downloaded, highest grossing Gacha game with $107 million dollars earned, and 3.9 million total downloads including both China and the Global release. For reference, that was an increase of over 50% from last month.
The Global Diablo Immortal release of the game – disregarding its Chinesse release due to drama, came in at #2 and has since accumulated 14 million total downloads and $38 million dollars. Which is impressive for a brand new game.
Interestingly enough, Fate/Grand Order has dethroned Uma Musume, at #3, amassing 270,000 total downloads and $37 million dollars between the Global and Japanese releases. Quite the impressive feat given that is several times larger than last month’s.
Uma Musume comes in at #4 this month, with 80,000 new downloads and $30 million dollars in earnings within Japan exclusively.
Project Sekai comes in at #5 with 780,000 downloads and $17.2 million dollars between the Global and Japanese versions. Surprisingly, as Heaven Burns Red held this position last month.
Oh, speaking of, Heaven Burns Red comes in at #6 with 40,000 downloads and $12 million dollars, as a Japanese exclusive.
Azur Lane came in at #7 with 125,000 downloads and $6.5 million dollars. Including both the Global and Japanese versions of the game.
Blue Archive comes in at #8 with 150,000 new downloads and $5.5 million dollars, including the Global and Japanese versions of the game.
iDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS came in at #9, totaling 11,000 downloads and $5 million dollars. This is also a Japanese exclusive, like several other games in this list. Which really goes to show the popularity Gacha have in Japan.
Princess Connect came in at #10 with 41,000 downloads and $4.6 million dollars. This is including the Global and Japanese incarnations of the game.
SINoALICE interestingly enough comes in at #11. Accruing 20,000 downloads and $3.2 million dollars between both the Global and Japanese versions of the game. Yeah, I bet you didn’t see that coming. And neither did I.
iDOLM@STER Million Live comes in at #12, with 10,000 new downloads and $3 million dollars accumulated within Japan alone.
At #13 is Arknights, with 90,000 new downloads and $2.7 million dollars between both Japan and the Global iteration.
At #14 is Guardian Tales, with 110,000 downloads and $2.5 million dollars earned between both the Global and Japanese versions of the game.
And finally, Shironeko comes in at #15, with 13,000 new downloads and $2.4 million dollars earned within Japan exclusively.
Yes, games like Honkai Impact, CounterSide, Punishing Gray Raven, Artery Gear all failed to reach the top 15 most played or highest earning Gacha games this month. Disappointingly.
